Patient education

What to know before you book

Clear, honest information so you can feel confident and prepared for your visit.

What to expect

Your appointment experience

Sessions are performed by trained clinicians who tailor the laser settings to your skin tone and hair type. The area is cleansed, protective eyewear is provided, and the Diolaze XL handpiece delivers cooling alongside each pulse for comfort. You'll feel quick, warm snaps as the laser targets hair follicles. Treatment times range from about 15 minutes for small areas to 45 minutes for larger ones.

Downtime & recovery

Getting back to your day

There is no downtime — you can return to your day immediately. Mild redness or slight warmth around the follicles is normal and usually fades within a few hours. Treated hairs may appear to 'shed' over the following days, which is part of the process.

Results timeline

When you'll see changes

Because hair grows in cycles, a series of sessions is needed to target follicles in their active growth phase. Many patients notice reduced density and slower regrowth after several sessions, with smoother results building over the course. Occasional maintenance sessions help sustain long-term reduction. Results vary by skin tone, hair color, and area.

Aftercare

Caring for yourself afterward

  • Apply broad-spectrum SPF and avoid sun exposure on treated areas.
  • Skip hot showers, saunas, and intense workouts for 24 hours.
  • Do not wax, pluck, or thread between sessions — shaving is fine.
  • Allow shedding hairs to fall out naturally; gentle exfoliation can help.
  • Avoid harsh products or fragrances on the treated skin for a day or two.
  • Keep your scheduled session intervals for the best cumulative results.
